Print Settings for Booklets from InDesign CS5
To print a booklet from InDesign CS5, ensure that your document is set up as a standard multi-page document --
DO NOT USE ADOBE'S BOOKLET FORMATTING --
Then, from the print dialog box, make sure that you have the Fiery Printer selected and that the correct PPD shows up, then choose Printer (at the bottom left) and ignore the warning that pops up -- we will have to let the print driver do the booklet making.
Then, click the arrow to the right of the printer name in the Apple Print Dialog box to fully expand the print dialog window (if necessary) and then click on the drop-down selector shown below to expand your options.
You will now need to select the button in the center of the dialog box thaty says "Full Properties"
Then choose the "Layout" tab across the top.
Choose your booklet finishing type
Then select the "Advanced" tab and check your options.
Hit OK, and you should be good to go.
